Shop Policies

Registration
Project/design selection and customization information for your project is required at the time of registration on the class date page you are signing up for.  Please be sure to double check your spelling and information to ensure your project stencil and materials will be ready for you at the beginning of class.

Class Cancellation Policy

Wooden shape orders cannot be refunded and are not included in our general class cancellation/refund policy.  These items have to be ordered in advance and made to order which doesn’t allow or cancellations.  We are, however, happy to have you join us at another workshop within 90 days of your original registration date.  

If you have ordered a custom design, once the design has been digitally made and sent to you for review, the extra $10 fee for the custom design is non-refundable.  For all other orders, you may cancel your reservation up to 5 days in advance for a full refund (again with the exception of the custom orders, $10 will be kept if the design is already made).  After that there will be a $20 fee taken out of your refund for the cost of supplies, etc ($30 if its a custom order).  You may choose to receive a class credit for a future class that is non refundable (see details below).

No refunds can be given on the day of the class.

Registration cancellations made at least 72 hours in advance of a class will be granted a class credit for a future class. The design must stay the same and cannot be cancelled for any sort of refund.  This is a class credit ONLY and does not qualify for a future refund if cancelled even if it is within the cancellation period of the future class.

The cost of the original class paid for must be equal or greater than the cost of the future class.  If you wish to attend a class that costs more than the original price you paid, you may pay the difference prior to attending the class.  If you choose a class that costs less than the original cost of the class, there is NO refund of the difference in class prices.
Public classes where you pay the venue location (not Rica’s Bowtique) directly to attend follows the same cancellation policy with the following exception: you can only be credited for that particular location for a future class.  You cannot use the credit at a different location.

You only have 90 days from the date of the original class to use the class credit, unless otherwise specified and agreed upon in advance.  After that period, the class credit can no longer be used and there will be NO refunds issued.  If you are a NO CALL NO SHOW, you forfeit your future class credit, unless you contact us within 7 days of the class.  We understand that emergencies happen, so we are willing to work with anyone who contacts us to make other arrangements.

Due to staffing, we reserve the right to cancel workshops if attendance is below 5 attendees.

INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY

We reserve the right to reschedule classes due to inclement weather for the safety of our staff and customers.  The cancellation policy will stay the same with no cancellations being allowed on the day of the party.  If we have to reschedule and you are not able to make it on the make up date, we can find another class for you to attend instead.  Or you have the option of picking up your pallet and stencil and making the sign at home.

Location Temperature & Odor Policy

The temperature in the area where you are having your party is very important!  The paint can be affected and so can the stencils if the temperature is too cold or too hot.  Please be sure the temperature is no lower than 60 degrees and no higher than 80 degrees.  If we determine the temperature is too hot or too cold we reserve the right to reschedule the party.  We cannot issue refunds as this is your responsibility.

Please be sure the area is clear of fumes, smoke, or any other odors.  We ask that there is no smoking in the area of the party and reserve the right to reschedule the party if there is smoking or strong odors in the home that do not allow us to work. We cannot issue refunds as this is your responsibility.

These policies will be strictly followed for the safety and health of our staff.

Private Event Cancellation Policy

A credit card is due when booking your private events.  Once the minimum number of participants is met (5), we will not charge your card the $50 cancellation fee.  If you are unable to meet the minimum, the deposit amount will be charged to your card.  If you choose to cancel your private party less than 2 weeks prior to your event, the deposit will not be refunded due to the nature of our studio and the demand for private party times on our calendar.

For private events, we require all attendees to register and provide complete personalization info for their project at least 1 week in advance so we can prepare the materials for your event ahead of time.

If there are not enough orders to meet the minimum requirement of (5) attendees you will be given until at least 7 days prior to your scheduled party date to meet this requirement.  At that time if the minimum is not met, you will be charged the cancellation fee.  (For example, your party date is on a Friday, you will be given until the Friday evening of the week before to get orders in.  If they are not in, you will be charged on Saturday morning).

You do have the option to reschedule your event as well, please see below.

Private Event Rescheduling Policy

If you need to reschedule your event, you have until 2 weeks prior to the event’s date to do so.  After that date, you may still reschedule your event, but you will still be charged the $50 cancellation fee.  If your rescheduled event date DOES occur, that fee WILL be reimbursed to you.  If your rescheduled event date does NOT occur, that fee will NOT be reimbursed to you.

Only one reschedule is allowed per customer within 120 days.  We do understand that sometimes things happen, so we are willing to work with you on this as well.  Please feel free to contact us with any issues or concerns you may have with your scheduled event date as soon as possible.

Safety Waiver
I release Rica’s Bowtique from all liability relating to injuries that may occur at Rica’s Bowtique Studio’s or other venues, including private home parties. By agreeing to these policies, I agree to hold Rica’s Bowtique entirely free from any liability, including financial responsibility for injuries incurred, regardless of whether injuries are caused by negligence.

I also acknowledge the risks involved in a woodworking workshop.  Drills, screws, sand paper, wire, paint and oil based stain could be used in class.  I do not have any conditions that will increase my likelihood of experiencing injuries while engaging in this activity.

Sign Dimensions and Orientation

All sign dimensions are listed as an approximate measurement and may vary within in an inch in either direction.  For example, the half size is listed as being 12 x 17 but it could actually be 11 x 17 or 12 x 16 or any variation within an inch of the stated dimension.

Sign orientation for your particular design should be obvious from the pictures that are available to choose from.  If it is not obvious to you please ask!  If you are wanting your boards to go vertical or horizontal you will need to make that request when ordering your sign.  We utilize all of our pallet wood the best that we can so that means that sometimes the boards are going horizontal and sometimes they are going vertical, it varies.

Class Registration

Registration deadlines for classes are one (1) week prior to the class date. Any registration sign up that is made after that date is subject to a $5 late registration fee.  The price is changed by 10pm on the night one (1) week prior to the class.  ABSOLUTELY no registrations for classes will be accepted less than three (3) days prior to the class due to time constraints.

Privacy Policy

Any information gathered by our company from you will only be used by Rica’s Bowtique and it’s local partners (i.e. venues, collaborators, etc.). It will not be sold to any other parties or used by other parties.  We will not spam you with emails, only send you information regarding sales, specials, etc.

About the our masks -

  1. Available in 5 sizes - Sizing depends on the space from the middle of your nose (or where you want the "nose tip" of the mask to hit) to under your chin where you want the mask to hit (see sizing chart in the photos).
  2. Have a "pocket" to add a filter, if desired.
  3. Come with a wire nose piece that is sewn into the mask. This does help with fogging issues with glasses (see tip at the bottom), but also helps keep the mask in place.
  4. The outside layer will always be 100% cotton in the pattern you choose, but the inside layer may be a solid color or another coordinating pattern. We have a thinner material available in black or white for the inside layer for those who want a lighter weight mask.
  5. Due to the lack of available supplies, the ear pieces may vary in color and material. We try to make them as comfortable as possible. You are also able to replace the ear pieces if desired with other materials you prefer, we do not sew them into the mask for this reason.
  6. Some patterns are limited, like the Ohio State patterns. If we run out of that pattern after you place your order, we will notify you as soon as possible.
  7. Masks can take up to 1 week to complete, depending on current demand and supplies. Shipping from there can take an additional week due to all carriers being behind with deliveries.

Please understand that our face masks are not a replacement for medical grade Personal Protective Equipment, and in circumstances where medical grade Personal Protective Equipment is recommended, you should consult a health care professional. The decision to use this mask is solely your own.

Please remember that use of face masks is not intended to replace other recommended measures to stop the community spread of COVID-19, such as social distancing, washing your hands and refraining from touching your face. Do you wear glasses? Here’s a tip for you!

Immediately before wearing a face mask, wash the spectacles with soapy water and shake off the excess. Then, let the spectacles air dry or gently dry off the lenses with a soft tissue before putting them back on. Now the spectacle lenses should not mist up when the face mask is worn.
